No age limit at the Camps

If you are hiking the INQUA Trail, the age limit is children 12yrs and younger due to the terrain

No, the Biocamps will provide guests with clean bedding and towels. You just need to bring your own toiletries and swimming towels

Tstisikamma Mountain Biocamp, Bloukrans Gorge Biocamp and Robberg Rocky Shores Biocamps:
Following arrival there is a short briefing session where everyone receives a porterage box that can be filled with whatever you need or would like to have taken to the camp – including any extra food items. When you arrive in camp – the Porterage box you packed will be in your tent!
This includes your alcohol and any snacks you may like.

Bitou BioCamp and Fire Fly Falls Base Bio Camp:
Porterage is not required

We can sleep 10 guests (5 tents) at all the Biocamps
Robberg Rocky Shores can sleep 14 guests (7 tents) in spite of this being our smallest Biocamp
If your numbers are more than this – speak to us so we can make it happen!

Dinner and breakfast are provided on all overnight trails
Packed lunches are dependent on the experience as part of the package so yes on the Inqua 2-night trail and yes, on the MTO Mountain Bike tour
If you decide to spend multiple nights in one camp, yes, we will provide lunch – just let us know!

Yes at all the camps there is an undercover area to chill except at Robberg Rocky Shores.

Yes, you can include this in the porterage.
We provide all cutlery, crockery, coffee mugs and drinking cups

Yes, all the Biocamps have Bio Bathrooms with bucket showers and hot water.
Tsitsikamma Mountain and Bloukrans Gorge use a gas cooker to heat the water (not a geyser)
Bitou and Robberg use a donkey boiler to heat the water
FireFly Falls Bio Base camp has hot running water and flushing toilets

The composting bio toilets use sawdust to breakdown the waste into usable compost which goes into a bucket.
The buckets are removed after use and replaced with clean buckets.
We use sawdust to breakdown the organic matter and avoid a smell
